About Brandon Glenn

Brandon is currently a full-time Firefighter/EMT/Driver-Operator and studying Paramedic. Brandon proudly serves the cities of Clive and West Des Moines by responding to life-safety situations, prese...rving property, and providing fire-safety education. Brandon Glenn graduated with an AAS in Graphic Design from Des Moines Area Community College in 2005 with honors including Student of the Year 2004, Student of the Year 2005, Class Art Director, 1st Place Skills USA local Design Competition and High Honors / Gold Cord graduation honors. He received an award from the Art Directors Association of Iowa for a direct mail piece in 2005. During his academic career he worked full time as a graphic designer for Glazer's Distributors designing internal marketing and client menus. After graduation he joined Innova Ideas and Services and worked on a contract with the Principal Financial Group. He worked on agent and client direct marketing pieces as well as a project called Dialogue that used variable information to customize agent direct marketing. Brandon later joined Sammons Annuity Group designing internal and agent direct marketing for Sammons Annuity Group and their sister companies Midland National Life Insurance Company and North American Company for Life and Health Insurance. He worked on brand management, design and marketing. In July of 2011 Brandon accepted a position with a new division of Sammons Financial Group: Sammons Retirement Solutions. He managed development of the SRS brand, training and guidance of marketing and design staff, print inventory management, coordination of print purchasing, as well as Art Direction of all marketing and collateral design. In August of 2013 Brandon accepted a position with Continental Western Group in Urbandale. He manages and produces all internal and external print, web, and audio/video marketing communications. Brandon is a self-taught musician who has performed with many bands since 1999. He has recorded 2 albums with a previous band, is working on a follow-up third album, an instrumental album, and records instrumental music for use with websites, presentations, video, and movie soundtracks. He is proficient at all forms of guitar (acoustic, electric, classical, slide, lap steel), mandolin, bass, and harmonica. He is intermediary at piano, banjo, drums, and most percussion instruments.show more
