About Dawn Torres-Gale

I am an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) who partners with clients to identify their financial goals and create a detailed, measurable action plan to accomplish each goal. I became certified as ...an AFC in 2012 and have been providing financial guidance to clients from diverse social and economic backgrounds ever since. My scope of work includes household budgets, savings and spending plans, debt repayment plans, credit review and rehabilitation plans, consumer loan pre-application guidance, insurance and investing education and basic retirement planning. I do not recommend or sell insurance, investment or other financial products, so there is no fiduciary conflict of interest associated with the guidance I provide. Since financial literacy is still not taught across the board in American schools, many people enter adulthood without the requisite skills necessary to manage their personal finances properly. Unfortunately too many adults don't seek any formal assistance with their finances because they feel as if they should know more than they do and are embarrassed. The reality is that no one (including me) is born knowing how to manage their money so we can't realistically hold ourselves responsible for knowledge that was never provided. My favorite part of my job is when I have helped a client reclaim their power over their personal finances through sharing my knowledge of personal financial best practices and providing guidance specifically tailored to the clients goals.
