Whole30 Meals for the WHOLE FAMILY
25
Are you the only one in the family who wants to do the Whole30 challenge? I recommend it, but it can be hard if you have picky eaters or your husband and / or kids aren't interested!
Whole 30 is a healthy eating plan where you 'reset' cravings and habits and learn to be aware of specific foods that are problem areas for you. You eat almost only whole foods and eliminate a bunch of food categories that are common in most people's daily diet. For that reason, it can seem intimidating... but when you focus on all the things you CAN eat, rather than what you can't, there is a whole world of food for everyone to love, including 'healthy fats' to savor and no strict calorie or portion counting.
Most people finish the month feeling great, lose weight, and love the new foods and meals they incorporate into their eating routines. It's a 30 day challenge, what can't you do for 30 days, right?
Actually... one of the most challenging things can be 'doing a Whole30' when you have a household to feed that isn't interested, or if you're on a budget. This guide will show you how to do it without doing extra work or spending extra money. Everyone can enjoy the foods you cook, while having more traditional options available as well.
Included? Links to at least 10-15 'tried and true' (my me and my 7 and 10 year old boys) meals your whole family will enjoy and be satisfied with. Honestly... my kids loved the 'new' food.... Nothing fancy, nothing weird. Just good, wholesome, quick and easy family meals.
I'll also provide some strategies for breakfast and lunch, ingredient recommendations, and other practical stuff to make it easy to take on and complete without a bunch of stress.
Happy meals!
Training & Qualifications
I am a long time home cook adept at all kinds of meal plans, including vegan, vegetarian, traditional, international, and more. No matter what, I always start with plain, whole foods rather than processed foods. I meal plan, shop, stock a pantry, and feed a husband and two hungry, growing boys, while living on a limited income. I like to cook, but I am also self employed, and have way too much to do, between running a business, maintaining a household and raising kids, to spend tons of time in the kitchen, so I work hard to make the most out of my time and money.
Been wanting to try Whole30 but been intimidated thinking the changes would overwhelm you and your budget? That's what I'm here to help with!
