Learning on your own? Can't afford college? Trying to find an interesting way to learn something? Overwhelmed by the vast ocean of knowledge and don't know where to start? I may be able to help. I could point you toward articles, find MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), look for books, maybe even find an educational game, or whatever other resources I come across. If possible, I specifically try to find open, free resources because I sympathize with not being rich (why do you think I'm on this site?). I could help you brainstorm on how to learn a specific subject. I love to learn and I enjoy supporting other people's interests. Please provide any details on where you're at (what you already know, what resources you've already found, etc.) to avoid redundant information being thrown at you.
Examples of subjects I've already learned a little about on my own are: WWII, mental illnesses, some basics of coding languages (python, CSS, HTML, ruby), climate change, languages (Irish Gaelic, Spanish, I'm familiarizing myself with Russian right now), etc. But of course, I could look up any subject for you.
Training & Qualifications
I was unschooled until I was 10-years-old, which means I learned things on my own rather than having assigned subjects. I love to learn. I go to the library once a week. I search the web to not only learn, but to try to find a fun way to do it.
