Reviews of Hollie

Hollie was very easy to talk with; she is knowledgeable and gave great suggestions for placement of plants and what will be happier in different areas... of my yard. Hollie also mentioned some great resources for learning more about plant types. I'm very happy she was able to take some time with me, and offer insights! show more

About Hollie Holcombe

I just finished my Permaculture Design Certificate at Oregon State University. My new calling is with Whole Soul Design: Permaculture + Architecture. This will combine what I learned in college and... graduate school, and as an architect at various firms, with what I've learned about permaculture through study and personal experience in growing food with my family. I'm currently a full time mom of one kiddo, a planning commissioner, and a volunteer on the parks committee in my small city. I worked in architecture for twelve years in Minnesota and Pennsylvania, and I have a Master's degree in architecture from an Ivy League university, along with a Bachelor's of Science in Architecture with a minor in Design from a Big Ten university. I've practiced qi gong and yang and sun style tai chi chuan off and on for the last four years, and before that I practiced it in depth for three years. I care about feng shui, and the energy of places - how they affect us and how we affect everything around us. My oldest chicken is seven years old. My two other chickens are six and a half. I've taken care of many cases of bumblefoot. I've hosted on airbnb for over five years at all our various homes from just outside Philadelphia, through our time south of San Jose, and now in our big yellow house.show more
