Learn what Fulltime RV Life is Like

1

1 per unit - Virtual OK - Posted May 25, 2018

What is it like to live in an RV full time? Well it's wonderful. Until it's not, then it's totally horrible. And messy. And adventurous. And fun! We've had accidents with poop and seen grizzly bears in the wild. We've driven through some of the most scenic spaces in America and spent time parked in what amounts to little more than parking lots. It's up and it's down and it's full of stories.

I will answer one question for one Simbi. Want to know how we handle our mail service? What our funniest story is? What exactly happens with the toilet? How do pets handle traveling full time? What's the neatest thing we saw at Yellowstone (it was Grizzlies, I'll give you that one for free).

Maybe you've considered traveling fulltime in an RV. Maybe you're just curious. Here's your chance for answers from someone living on the road.

Training & Qualifications

I live full time in a 31 foot RV with four humans, two big dogs, and a cat. We sleep in our RV, travel in our RV, work in our RV, and school in our RV. It is home to us, including the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Turns out Jayme's son wasn't interested in the writing project his mom set up for him. It became a learning lesson for all three of us, I think.

About Jayme Casillas

I own a travel agency that specializes in Disney Destinations. I spend the majority of my work week trouble shooting for my business, answering questions about Disney, and planning vacations for my gu...ests. I enjoy travel to both Disney and other destinations and am happy to answer any and all travel questions. My prior background is in accounting and business management, where I worked in a variety of positions. I'm also a cosplayer and constantly in the process of building something for myself or one of my family members. My key skills in cosplay are in fabrics and props, but I'm slowly learning how to do armor with foams as I like to be constantly expanding my skills. Our family does not stick to any one particular show or movie in our cosplays as our interests are varied and ever growing. Each summer I take part in what I consider a life changing scavenger hunt called GISHWHES. The hunt itself is to promote the charity Random Acts and it involves everything from acts of kindness to insanely crazy items. It is a way to truly push yourself out beyond your comfort level, and each year I learn more about myself in the process. My family and I live in a 31 foot RV and are currently traveling North America. We stay in each location around a week before moving on. There are 4 humans, 2 dogs, and a cat in roughly 300sqft, and most days we have no idea what we're doing but it's full of adventure. I look forward to using Simbi and the opportunities it presents. It's not often that there's a new method to learn and grow in unique ways that aren't usually shown to the public. show more
