Joe gave an awesome first lesson! He was approachable, which made it easy to ask questions. Unlike many great chess players, Joe not only knows what h...e's talking about, but he breaks down chess theory and simplifies it in a very tangible way, so at the the end of the lesson you have game theory take-aways that can be applied to a range of scenarios. On top of that, Joe customized the lesson to the type of chess that is most helpful to me (speed chess for chessboxing) and compared moves that are better for a more aggressive form of chess vs. the long game. In addition, he sent resources and made suggestions for improving my game outside of the lesson! show more
