Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation

I will guide you into deep relaxation with an aim toward releasing old baggage and cultivating ease in your life.

First you'll get supremely comfortable, perhaps using blankets and pillows to create a comfy nest for yourself, or perhaps sitting in your favorite recliner. The intent throughout the session is for you to deeply relax and drop into slower brainwave states while maintaining awareness.

I will guide your attention inward to the breath and the body, which will assist in releasing tension, and may include a visualization if time allows (examples: imagine a healing fountain or that you're on a journey or that you're a seed planted in the soil).

A personal intention can be woven into the session. Some possibilities are:
​I am free and clear of the past.
I sense the peaceful stillness at my center.
I withdraw from habits that no longer serve me.
I experience my body as an ocean of healing energy.
I release the need to manage or control anything outside of myself.
I am completely relaxed and at peace in my body, my mind, my heart, and my soul.

Training & Qualifications


Certified to teach yoga and yoga nidra through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, having completed their 800-hour yoga teacher training. Certified as a facilitator of the Amrit method of yoga nidra (140 hours training).

Availability & Preferences


Weekends are great! Also some afternoons and evenings during the week.

About Rebecca Lynn

My yoga journey started with a book on meditation which recommended gentle yoga as part of a daily mindfulness practice. At the time, I was wasting away at a desk job in the corporate/business world u...nder a tyrannical boss. I found the mindfulness principles and sitting meditation useful for calming anxiety, stress, and self-judgment. I began to practice gentle yoga and yin yoga and discovered that yoga was like medicine. The physical postures release tension, clear out atrophy, and open up spaciousness in the tissues of the body. Yoga brings me a sense of well-being and ease. ​ My teaching style is focused on feeling into the pose to find the balance between effort and ease, between challenging the body and being kind to the body. For boot camp, look elsewhere. This quote from Jon Kabat-Zinn summarizes my approach: "Mindfulness does not bulldoze through resistance. You have to work gently at the edges, a little here, and a little there, keeping your vision alive in your heart." ​We put our bodies in a position to feel the stretch, to feel the edge of that resistance, and then breathe into it. With breath and patience, opening begins to occur, releasing tension and encouraging a sense of ease. My teaching experience includes nidra, yin, restorative, slow flow, chair yoga, yoga in the pool, and yoga off the wall. I am certified to teach yoga through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA), having completed their 800-hour program. show more
