1:1 Session for Body Awareness
35
Through a 30-minute video session (or audio, if you prefer) I will facilitate an exploration through different patterns and layers of movement within your body and offer moments of lightly guided self-inquiry that will allow you to unlock hidden messages from your body. We will work with the body's inner wisdom to help you reach clarity and depth from a profound state of easeful listening.
Benefits can be:
- Reaching a newer level of Self- and Body-Awareness through interoception
- Unlocking hidden messages and guidance from within the body's structures (muscles, bones, joints, organs, etc.)
- Pain relief from long-lasting or stubborn injuries and ailments that may have been around for quite some time
The key to resolving many issues - physically, mentally and emotionally - is often in asking the body what it needs and deeply listening to the messages it would like to share. The reason this work is so effective is because it allows the body's inner wisdom to "take the mic" (so to speak) and bypass the overactive, conscious mind.
This type of work comes from one of my newest projects as a bodyworker and movement instructor and I'm enjoying using these sessions as opportunities to refine how I work with people. If you'd like to work together, just shoot me a Simbi proposal and we can go from there :)
Training & Qualifications
I am a licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist in the United States (LMBT) and I have been practicing body awareness through yoga teaching, functional movement facilitation and inquiry-based bodywork for the past four years. I also assist with courses in Osteopathic Manual Therapy for students in current manual therapy training programs and I have an ever-evolving self-practice that allows me to access greater depth with my students and clients as I learn to speak the language of my own body more fluently.
