Self Defense Tutoring

In five one and a half hour sessions I can teach effective principles of self defense that are powerful regardless of the strength or size of the user compared to their aggressor. While most self defense methods are based on using aggression and stress to target an attacker's vulnerable areas I will teach methods of effective relationship and intrinsic power that allow a person of any size or strength to essentially 'outmaneuver' their opponent to create victory (in this case, getting away safely). This method relies on relaxation, sensitivity and discovering the inherently powerful dynamics of the human body that go beyond 'fast hands defeating slow hands, the strong defeating the weak'. These principles include bodily structure and alignment, using wrist and joint locks to overtake your opponent's center, drawing power up from the ground, throwing your opponent with a superior relationship to gravity, and 'creating space where there is no space' to never be trapped or controlled by an aggressor (or aggressors). These lessons should provide anyone with not just a greater sense of security, but a deeper sense of empowerment and confidence in understanding the inherent power of their bodies and minds.
NOTE: Five sessions is the bare minimum I am willing to condense a useable self defense program into, and any trades will be for ONE session of this five session series. You can try one session and decide not to do the rest, if you would like to continue with the other four we can work out something of equal value in exchange.
Training & Qualifications
An advanced practitioner of soft-style martial arts, arts that are rooted in relaxing the body and mind to create martial effectiveness. I studied tai chi, aikido, pakua, xingyi, boxing, swordsmanship, and jeet kun do before leaving formal training methods to experience the principles that make for a powerful martial art, regardless of style.
