About Lia Walsh

I'm based out of Ottawa, ON. Unlike most people, who move to Ottawa for work or school, I'm actually from Ottawa. I hear that's rare. I have a long history of graphic design and communications, as ...well as being really well-versed in Spanish, social issues, gardening and cooking. For my day job, I work as a marketing coach for women entrepreneurs, and a lot of that work is around SEO and branding. I guess you could say I'm kind of a marketing geek! During the summer, I farm a quarter-acre of land with my partner, and we preserve much of the produce we grow (canning, pickling, freezing, etc.). In the winter, when it's too cold to farm, I tend to a few house plants and grow little seedlings for the spring! I also make handmade soap, which we sometimes sell at little markets and such. But only when the zombie apocalypse isn't upon us! When I'm not doing any of that, I'm probably volunteering. Or spending time with my cat, Abby. :)show more
