I will walk with you (or use public transportation if needed) in whatever areas you want, and tell you what I know about the city's history, present contexts, point you to safe and reasonable shops and other resources.
I have two tours I already created:
1. General city center, 2 hrs, overview of history and current state on topics like education, health, politics, fun, society, music etc.
2. Off-the-beaten-path tour of churches and institutions, 2 hrs, including the famous Palace of Parliament and adjoining under-construction Cathedral of Salvation.
But I am also happy to create a tour for you starting from your interests. I know many museums, communist neighborhoods, strange but fascinating places (like Vacaresti Natural Reservation) etc.
I'm thinking I could also do a hybrid offline-online tour where you're seeing through my phone camera and we talk on a video call. Open to test this with whoever wants it.
Training & Qualifications
My only qualifications are my passion for Bucharest and Romania, my good English, and the 6 months during which I did this in 2023 through walking tour platforms such as freetour.com.
Availability & Preferences
Week time from roughly 10 am to 5 pm, but I'm quite flexible
