DIY Music Business Advice
20
I will give you advice and share potential resources accessible to me from my experience working in the music industry and for industry professionals. Ideally I'd it would make a ton easier to complete my service accurately if you give me a specific question and a bit of background information. My goal is to tailor my interaction uniquely to you, and the more information you give me, and the more specific your question, the better! A session is treated as an answer to your question, and I can do so via message and in person or via skype if we do business regularly. This is subject to change seeing as I'm a newbie and would like to get more familiar with Simbi before I set anything in stone.
Training & Qualifications
I ran a non-profit volunteer organization in Madison, WI called We Make Music Happen between 2012 and 2015. Our mission was to help musicians help themselves by providing access to industry advice via events, one on one consultation sessions, and networking opportunities. I set up panels consisting of regional industry professionals, booked bands, released a short series of youtube videos, and toured with local musicians. I also worked for Band:Smart Radio under Martin Atkins setting up questions and lightly structuring his music industry advice podcast. I've traveled to help set up industry networking events, have attended the Yellowphone Music Conference, and have close friends that travel to NAMM every year as both guests and attendees. I just moved to Austin, TX and look forward to learning and networking more.
