Aquaponics Introduction
Aquaponics is an incredible system for growing food. It mates the concepts of aquaculture and hydroponics, utilizing the best of both while mitigating the negatives.
Aquaculture is the farming of fish and other aquatic life. Hydroponics is growing plants in soilless medium, like gravel or expanded clay. Both systems are met with immense challenges. Fish produce waste, and so you need massive filtration systems, and occasionally have to waste water. Hydroponics is overly complicated, and also includes massive water waste.
Aquaponics mitigates all of this by creating a closer-to-nature system that is truly symbiotic. Simply put, fish waste feeds plants, and plants filter the water.
In a one hour seminar, I will show you exactly how it works, the system I use and answer any questions you might have.
