General Culinary Lessons!
I will customize your lessons to your liking, and based on your current level of culinary experience and knowledge. I can teach you anything from identifying and using basic kitchen tools and equipment, basic sanitation and food prep techniques such as knife skills and butchering. I can teach you the foundations of recipes such as stocks and sauces, how to develop rich flavors and adhere to proper cooking techniques and temperatures. I am very knowledgeable in making pasta and Italian cooking in general, Southern and American "comfort foods," making jams and canning, homemade ice cream, as well as some Indian, Thai, Mexican basics. I am also beginning to learn more about Vegan, Raw, Paleo, and Gluten Free cooking.
Training & Qualifications
I am a classically trained chef. I graduated with honors from an accredited Culinary institute which provides Servsafe food sanitation training and certification. Did my internship at The Biltmore Hotel and remained there for several years. 15+ years professional food handling experience.
